Hiya! I’m Jess, the designer behind Jessica Kate Design.
Ever since I was a kid I’ve been drawing. I started to take it a bit more seriously during secondary school and I also enjoyed editing videos, so eventually the two married together in the form of speed drawings that I’d post to Youtube. At college I took Fine Art and then went on to do a degree at Falmouth University in Drawing.
During my first year in 2017, we had a class on Photoshop where I discovered my love for incorporating digital technologies to my traditional drawings. From there I explored this medium further and further, learning how to use Adobe Creative Suite and moving from a tablet to an iPad Pro and Procreate.
I still love working within a variety of different mediums, but at the moment digital is my focus, whether it’s branding, graphic design or illustration. In 2024, I earned 100% in my Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Graphic Design which I genuinely feel taught me so much more than my degree did!
Since working as a freelance designer, I’ve had the most amazing opportunities to work for clients that I admire, and to broaden my skillset and push myself to create new and unique designs for wonderful people. I love doing this job, and I love the people that enable me to do it by trusting me with their businesses. I use design as a way of helping you stand out from the crowd and show off your work as it should be shown – professionally and with style.
Outside of my work, I love travelling, cats, KPop, playing video games and reading. I’m a total nerd at heart.
If you’re interesting in working together, or in hearing about how design could level up your business, just send me an email or message via socials and we can chat!
